I'm from down the street where this happened. We all knew the truth immediately and without delay. A conviction is what happened because that represents me and my neighbors.

Just like Ted Bundy.

The finished work of Christ on the Cross is sufficient provision for the sins of AlwysATgr and the whole world. Amazing grace.
KA was doomed before his murderous act. Any sin is a sin against an infinitely, eternally, perfectly holy God. Can he be saved? Sure. If he will repent and surrender to the Lord Jesus.
So what would repentance look like for KA? For one thing, he would have to take Austin's side and denounce whomever/whatever shaped his thinking. Pray he will.
Finally, the Bible warns believers about violating civil law. We do not get a "get out of jail free" card because we are believers (Rom. 13).
KA was given a really soft sentence. Our law enforcement should've erected a tent on the same spot he murdered Austin and he should've been stabbed in the same manner with his own knife. Simple, expedient justice.
