I drove past that shite today and saw all the cops and news crews out there and was thankful I was going the opposite direction. I didn’t know what exactly was going on, but my first thought was there might have been a jumper lol. Yeah I watch too much tv.

quote:That feeder should have been locked out with a lock and chain, and a 2nd more experienced worker to verify that the feeder was de-energized. If this is not SOP with Entergy for a situation like this, it should be.
they had been assured by Entergy and the hotel that the power had been cut so that the renovation could continue.
I know one thing. Whoever said the line was de-energized needs to be fired tomorrow morning.

Lines were supposed to be shut off weren’t.
Worker on ground got shocked the worst, 3rd degree burns. Was touching scaffolding and was grounded. Took a bad lick but looks like he’s pretty fortunate considering

Empire Scaffold doesn’t exist anymore, and hasn’t for quite a few years.
And yes, they all refused to build the scaffold previously bc of the lines. And yes, they were assured by multiple parties that the power was cut.

Entergy will not be in the wrong because some dumb arse built a scaffold to close to energized power lines

And just when we're supposed to have Entergy cut its rates due to the tax cuts.
Now we'll see a W.M.L. Recovery Fee on our bills for the next 20 years.
W.M.L. = Worker Mistake Lawsuit
