Latex balloons just floating around? Does no one give a shite about the environment? I feel like I’m taking crazy pills

In 1990 I buried a homemade time capsule in my parents backyard with the intention of digging it up one day. But now I don’t know where it is so I like to think centuries from now someone will find it.

Curiosity? Sounds like education to me.
We have all the information about currents, yet they have no explanation for the bottles arriving at such various locations.
I’d say this is actually worth the minimal amount of glass that will sink and cause no harm.
A rubber duck could be mistaken for food and eaten by a vast number of ocean life, likely causing death, how could you advocate that over a glass bottle?

I once found a message in a balloon. It was released by a kid in the eighth grade in Texas, and came to rest on my parent's place in Grant parish.

Interesting...a couple of years ago, I actually found a balloon with a message tied to it here in MS. The message had been released by a lady in a nursing home there in Grant Parish.

Because I was being sarcastic. I honestly have no issue with the glass bottles floating in the ocean. I do have issue with balloons being let go though

Was she begging for rescue?

Finding bottles in the same areas of European coasts when released from North America means there is some regular thing controlling their movement.
