It's way more than that

Chicken at Canes over the last few years has gotten smaller, breading is a much larger portion of the finger and it is more common that you get a bad box: i.e. you can tell the chicken has been sitting around after cooking and is room temperature with the breading all hard
I miss the days of ridiculously hot chicken with the breading like falling off

A box combo is 1270 calories? I suddenly don't feel so guilty anymore. Actually, that's probably with the cole slaw in there, not the extra fries. shite.
The 6-8 times per year that I eat Canes are ones where I couldn't care less about the calorie content. A lot of restaurant meals are 1000+ calories because the portions are huge.

we have a knockoff in Meraux called Krazy Kajun's Fish Shack, and I like their coleslaw so much better than Cane's
There are some rumors about their "fish".

Check the price of chicken over the years. It isn't cheap like it used to be.
Chicken Breast prices in June 2017: 3.215 national average
Chicken Breast Prices in June 2007: 3.513 national average
I eat a lot of chicken breast, its been the same 1.87-1.99 at Sams the past decade.

I'd want to read more.into those numbers. Boneless, skinless breast prices hit a 9 year high in 2013 due to chains pushing the product more. That being said, what time period are we comparing cane's to? I am comparing now to 2000-2005. There were price jumps and then the price of corn helped stabalize

Canes is great hangover food. That's usually when I crave it
It's been proven grease hellos relieve a hangover. My go to for a hangover is pizza.

I let my cousin mushroom stamp me in the Sterling apartments for a free caniac. Worth every slap

They always end up screwing the order up somehow these days. I don't even like it but my kid is crazy about it so I can't avoid it. But one thing is for sure: If you're going to charge OVER 13 DOLLARS for a single serving size of fast food, you should probably take two extra seconds and make sure the order is correct.
The day my kid finally decides he's had enough of that crap I'm gonna throw a goddamn party.

Ah, the "golden" age of chicken fingers. Seems like only yesterday...

It was a decent price where you got quality chicken not skinny arse pieces with breading?
Wasn't it like $6.50 at some point with an extra tender more than they give now?
