I thought of that when I mentioned Roger.

My sister and brother were good friends with his kids in HS.

You're never completely dressed until you put on a smile.

I had a Monkey Muggs stuffed animal.
Wish I still had it.

Also remember Baileys before they were muscled out by canes. Drinking with Lincoln and quarter shots at Snorkels did me in a couple of nights as well.

What was the name of that bar circa 1989-1990 that had Drinking with Lincoln and where all the rugby dues hung out. It was behind the old Chimes.

When Siegn and Sherwood didn't connect at Airline.

When Siegn was 2 lanes and considered country.

The Raquetballer on Interline

The Mill on Essen (where Copeland's is now)

Cajun fries at Fast Track

Movie theater at Cortana. Saw Jedi there twice in one week.

Legends Sports

Todd Garland/RFD on Corporate. When they tried to make Corporate a 'mall'.

Baseball card shows at Skip's batting cage off Industriplex

Bingo. I guess the Chimes/Varsity just gobbled it up.

Hoppers

When I was very little, trips to Hoppers were a MUST before or after an LSU home game. I miss the malts and the food.

I'm trying to remember what the Chimes was like before they expanded. I remember the old entrance at the street corner and the bar against the left wall. What was the area where the new bar is now? Was that part of the Varsity?

Since I am an old timer and a two timer around the world, I can lay it out for you. The entrance was at the corner, and as you walked in on the right were tables and the plaques holding the Around the World participants and other stuff. To the left was a raised section where there were tables. To the rear left was the bar. Right across from the bar on the right were the shitters. Right before you got to the bar on you left were some stairs to a second level that were like the offices. The Chimes is my all time favorite bar/restaurant. The old Happy Note is my all time favorite bar.

I have fond memories of going to JCPenney at Bon Marche (before it was a mall) to buy back to school clothes and then eating next door at the lunch counter at Woolworth's. This was exciting for a girl from Ascension parish!

The Mill on Essen. Totally forgot about that place. I think they used to have another place like that next to where Hooters is on College. Dont remember the name though.
