Damn that one looks so much better. They are really gonna regret making the BEC how it looks now in a few years.

Truly the aesthetics or the functionality/separate buildings?

This. I think that's where the OP's story (or his wife's story) falls apart.

Personally, I feel this fines should be more. Just my two cents.

Great thread. So nice to see that many still appreciate a timepiece.
No, what I am saying is your "friend" or seller could get in some major hot water for cutting the class short. So, you shouldn't be posting that type of private information in a public setting.

Plus, as a CHL holder myself, not sure I fully TRUST anyone who hasn't had the full (typical) 8 hour minimum training and decides to carry.

Thanks hat, yea it's a 3 in barrel. It's a custom defense so it's meant to be concealed and works well. The guy I bought it from day's he can hook me up with ccl classes for cheap if I find a group of six or seven guys to take it with. Also said the classes would be cut from nine hours to around three to five hours max.

You interested hat?

07Champs.... the state mandates how low the MINIMUM class time is. I would be careful about posting on a public forum about this.

Looking at opening one her win Houston. Building is purchased, permits in hand, financing almost 100% solidified, but finalizing a few insurance requirements.

Been a two year road and there is much more that anyone would every think.

Biggest up-front cost is the HVAC. Biggest on-going cost is backstops / cleaning of backstops.

I seriously considered and looked in to opening one in the Prairieville area, but someone else beat me to it. I think they're opening at the end of the year though.

Slickback.... have you actually priced the construction? Because it ain't cheap.. +/- $15,000 a lane.

Which one has she already shot and felt confident with?
I know it is a drive, but there are a number of places in the Daalas area. Train, train and train some more.

As for opening a range, the largest cost is the HVAC and insurance. You are looking at +/- $15,000 a lane for the initial set up, plus the monthly cleaning. We are very close to opening one in Houston and the initial costs are staggering.
Can't recall if it is an export or save as, but there is an option to save as a Windows file. Been sending to the CPA for years from a Mac- based company.

Do any of you guys have CHL's if so have to had a hold after having a CHL.

I have a CHL but I have never had a hold before having it, nor have I had one since having my CHL.

A CHL will certainly not hold up the approval, in my experience.
The Ford "interview" commercial that says Ford took NO government money.
Papa Brothers
III Forks
Del Friscos

Can not recall if they have opened a Vic and Anthony's yet, but if they do.... The blue cheese bacon butter is the best topping they have!!

For my money, it's the dry aged beef and great wine list at Pappa's. Plus the crabmeat Mac and Chesse.
ScubbaBLAKE -- not to offend, but again remember you are now putting YOUR LIFE into THAT gun. Many would recommend many, many more rounds than 300 before carrying that particular sidearm. Just sayin'....

Boats n Hose -- Legality. In fact, all the State of Texas requires is Pass or Fail and my instructor(s) never told anyone there scores, but rathe if they passed. Both had been called to too many court cases involving CHL Holders and how good/how poor the CHL Holder was.

Personally, I would recommend many, many more rounds and possible training before you considering carrying. It is a huge responsibility and unless I am reading this incorrectly, I wouldn't feel safe in myself carry a rig that I have that few rounds through.

On a side note, many Texas CHL Instructors recommend you don't keep your targets.
