There was also place in Cortana that sold corn dogs
They also had an Orange Julius and a Candy Corn place. I miss the candy corn. Good stuff
and for the ladies...
Anyone remember Units in Cortana? You were not cool unless you had a knit outfit that came in a pre sealed bag.

Alright, this will confirm I am an old dude, but I used to love Buckskin Bill. I helped pay for those sickly looking Asian Elephants at the BREC zoo.
Also, I was a contestant on We Play Baton Rouge with the rug, Pat Shingleton when I was in 8th grade. I lost to this bitchy girl from my neighborhood.
Still hurts.

Was the studio at Cortana or at WBRZ? It was for kids?

It was at WBRZ. No, it was mainly an adult game show. They had a week around Christmas, where they had teenage participants. I should have stuck with the SPORTS questions.

Wish they still had the Ground Patty restaurants around. Used to think that was fine dining

I used to say that you were not from BR if you had not made an appearance on his show.
Meeting Buckskin Bill was like meeting God (when you're 5)

Right on. I remember my parents taking me for a drive by past his house. I think it was in Sherwood Forest. They also showed me the famous Jimmy Swaggart's house on Tara Blvd., before he moved to Highland road.

Ground Pati
Two Jacks- one side Italian, one side Chinese
All the swell-looking Motor Hotels up and down Airline Highway, neon signs a-flashin'
Chris' Bar with the fishbowl beer glasses
Arthur Treacle's Fish 'n Chips on Perkins Rd.
Mike & Tony's on Plank Rd.
Bob & Jake's on Gov't St.
B'day parties at City Park playground.
Swimming in the City Park pool (wading in my case)
Buckskin Bill giving you a Happy Bday or Get Well on the TV
Tony Hu's Chinese place on G'well Springs Road
Reddy Kilowatt and the Channel 2 pelican- both representaives of Satan and incarnate evil.
Lee's Beach
Steam tunnels at LSU
walking catwalk under I-10 Miss. River bridge, then ladder up to top.
Charlie Mac going for 2 against Tulane late so it'd be 62-0 again. (Angriest I ever saw my Dad in his life- Tulane double alum)
Walking on ice at University Lake and seeing fish frozen into ice (2 drowned that day from skation out too far over thin ice)
Penny the Elephany walk
