"Cup" Holder, as we used to call him.

Dude had a gig at a different BR spot every night of the week. Caterie, Calendar's, Gator Bar...you name it.

He pretty much vanished due to a nasty drug habit, from what I'm told.

That was Todd Westbrook w/ the nasty drug habit. Kirk still plays around town at different venues.

I stand corrected. My apologies.
I used to get those guys confused all the time anyway. They'd play gigs together alot, and one of them was always somewhere you went out.

There was a thread about Showbiz awhile back.

Man, that freaky gorilla used to give me the creeps.
I used to be willing to bet they fed him small children in between sets.

Fatz scared the hell out me- him and the wolf who would only come out every other song. I thought he was killing kids behind the curtain.

anyone remember the small room they had under the stage? It had red neon lights and a strobe light. That was another thing that scared me- I thought it was an oven.

Why did my parents keep taking me there?

What about that cheesy teen dance club called 2010 behind Bon Marche. More low riders and bass music than you could shake a stick at.

That was a Godfather's. Mr. Gatti's was down the street across from the McDonald's.

There was also a Gatti's (or maybe a Godfather's) where Serrano's is now.

Speaking of Hopper's (yeah I know it was a few pages ago), but I was in the Hopper's commercials as a kid. We were either sitting on the roof or on a giant satellite dish. Those were the days...

Baton Rouge sucks

Having lived most of my life in Laffy and the last 12 years in BTR... I can say w/o a doubt Lafayette if economically more stable, but has twice as many DBags!

Yes, Todd Westbrook and his daytime job was as a drug counselor at the Chemical Dependency Unit at the BR General. He was very well liked there and I'm not being sarcastic.

Me too. I went to a wedding reception at that house across the street from Santa Maria Country club and behind the waterpark. I was a student at LSU when they filmed Everybody's All American. They filmed a lot at the Theta Xi house and a few people I know are extras in that movie. John Goodman was a regular at Murphy's while they were shooting.
