We may know some of the same people - they're a client. Really great people.

Nice! Are you in auxiliary sales or directly in the industry?

Neither. I work for a lobbyist firm that represents a lot of industries, with cannabis being a large portion of it. So we deal with things from the regulatory side.

That’s my dream job. I’m sitting on a poli sci and sociology degree and ended up out here

I’ve promised a Q&A about the industry several times to the OT. I will deliver if we get shut down in the near future.

This is where I work: silverstemcannabis.com

Wow, 6 shops in CO and another in Portland. Looks like a hell of an operation. It's definitely an interesting line of work. If you're already a part of their team I'm sure in time you can move towards a Director of Compliance role. I'd love to read a Q&A.

My co-worker (a good friend) is not giving that position up. Neither would I if I was him.

For now, I’m run the back end up production. As soon as the plants get harvested I’m responsible for everything that goes on until the product is completely packaged and sold.

from what a few people in Arkansas have told me you have to give up your 2nd amendment or conceal carry in order to get the card. I'm sure that's not accurate information as I don't see how that can constitutional by any means

That is actually correct in order to have a medical card. Medical is all but obsolete at this point. It saves money on taxes, but outside of that rec will take care of 98% of your daily users

Do I have to wear a tailored suit to order? Because I can do that.

That is 100% accurate.

Additionally, veterans who receive a medical card will lose eligibility for VA benefits.

I'm pretty sure with oil crashing in Alaska the taxes that the government collects on legal weed sales might be our entire revenue I joke

Yikes, for once the gf was right about an major issue.

Yeah I don't see how that can be feasible. 2nd amendment is a right, healthcare is not. Not sure how that trumps a gun law.

Concealed carry is not a right.
