I am definitely getting a scan done tomorrow. I do appreciate your help with this. Brought things to my attention I truly wasn’t aware of.
I’m not a car guy and have never been. So a lot of this is like a foreign language to me.

Update:
Took it in today and had scans run on sensors. Did show a sensor was bad that was causing the charging message to come on.
Also, the radiator was low on coolant which was the reason for the temperature gauge issue. Also said there was probably an air pocket in the cooling system which can also cause fluctuations.
Radiator still could be replaced but they said it’s probably good for a bit longer. Said to drive this week and see what happens. At that point, we can replace it.
Let’s see how it goes I guess.

Just for clarification, when an OBD scan is performed, it reads all codes that are present, including past codes that weren’t erased.
So only one code came back? What did they call the bad sensor?
Kinda out of it today, had a profusion scan and stress test of my own lol.

Don’t laugh but it was a fuel sensor that they said can cause the beeping. They rechecked the alternator and said it looked fine.
So far no beeping today and the temp gauge is still holding steady.
New truck is probably coming sooner than planned though.
