Is it a gated community? Gated communities OWN the roads, and then it's private property.

If it's not gated or not a "private street" then yes it's public property.
So I can go hangout at the nice neighborhoods here in Nashville that arent gated at 3am? And legally they cant make me leave? I may go do this to setup a lawsuit

I have zero issues with the gun. You run up on a cop's back in a chaotic situation like that and you shouldn't be shocked when the cop draws. He didn't shoot anyone and put the weapon away when he realized there was no serious threat.

we had some uninvited guests at our pool this weekend which prompted the staff to email and post reminders that you can only have 2 guests per apartment at the pool. some Mexicans decided to have a fiesta for their kids birthday. they were running all around the elevated fountain and shite. no bueno, señor

Cops ask people walking through our neighborhood at night to leave all the time. I've always wondered what would happen if someone just refused.

Hey man, NOTHING will happen to my black arse if I start barbecuing ribs on a sidewalk in Belle Meade.

If it is they need to fire the gate keeper.

Gates don't usually close until dusk.

I've never seen a gated place with the gates open during the day.

I can name quite a few I'm familiar with and none keep the gates open, ever.

I don't think I've ever seen one with the gates closed during the day.

I'm not seeing it. Every kid that listened when he told them to sit down in the grass was never/barely touched.
Compare this cop to the behaviors of the initial officer. He was respectful and calm, and the teenagers were respectful back. Then unstable cop comes into the picture yelling, cussing, and handcuffing individuals. He escalated the situation, and has the emotional stability of a irrational teenager, not an adult on a position of power.

Regardless of what else happened, anybody that has such little emotional resiliency does not deserve to be in a position of power. I can't imagine how he would handle a legitimately dangerous and much more stressful situation.

Arrested kid was on tv just now. He said he was bumped by the other guy with him toward the officer. When he realized it, he began to back up. That's when the cop pulled weapon. They slowed it down on the news and he may have it dismissed.

I remeber at LSU we constantly snuck into the pools at Sterling and the Commons on Brightside. Was so easy to do. Though I just swam and didn't make any noise.

I've been seeing the same black kids (only three black households in a two block radius) parking a car in my cul de sac and smoking almost every day for the last week. Part of me wants to call the cops because we have had graffiti(one empty house got tagged) and theft problems lately. Another part of me doesn't want to send kids to jail for pot. Today my neighbor asked if my cameras spotted them again and I lied and said "no".
Kinda wondering how to get them not to come by, but without involving our overbearing police force.

what about the kid filming. He was never told a thing.
Besides "thanks" for giving the cop the flashlight.
