Is it tax payer subsidized?

Does someone find it offensive?

These are the only questions that matter.

People can still see them.

What's the difference?

Would you fight to keep statues of the kamikaze bombers up? Unbelievable

It's history and if some reason they had statues I would support keeping them up

Except for those of us who actually have a degree in it, that is.

And I never heard shite about these statues until Mitch Bitch thought it would be a good idea to try to politically capitalize on a tragedy two years ago.

I'll go out on a limb right now and say he's the most hated man in the south at the moment.

Of course this is Landrieu's response to the anarchy. In his mind, he hasn't been divisive: He's merely exposed the people on the wrong side. He'd never berate and patronize the violent SJW's who have no respect of the laws of the land. To him and the other weirdo leftists, they're justifiably acting morally.

Well, it's pretty hard to find good articles about history since people like you are hell bent on erasing it all.

It's interesting how this is a uniquely American problem.

There are still statues of:

Napoleon up in France (even though he lost)

Kaiser Wilhelm II in Germany (even though he started WW I and subsequently killed an entire generation)

Stalin, all across eastern Europe (along with Soviet monuments; even though he also killed millions)

Why does this PC crap exist in the US?

there are a lot of state historical sites that are not on property owned by the state.

You can't really be this dense. So you think the Holocaust Museum in Washington displaying artifacts from Nazi Germany in their museum is the same as the city of Washington erecting a statue of Hitler in their streets and hanging swastikas from the street posts? I swear to god I lose brain cells every time I come on this site

Because glorification of white people in any capacity is inherently evil.

I think because things aren't as shitty here as they are in those places where they have actual things to worry about therefore limiting the need to cry about inconsequential matters

You should pay attention more, there's history threads here from time to time. Most recently in relation to WW I because it's been 100 years, before that was 100 years from Easter Uprising in Dublin, before that 150th anniversary of opening shots of civil war.
