East Hill is good if you want to be in a nice area close to everything. Houses are a little older but nice.
East Pensacola Heights is generally good, but there are a few run down areas, so do your diligence.
The area near the back gate of NAS is decent but a little removed from everything.
Gulf Breeze is right over the bridge and very nice, but can be a little expensive for what you get. (If you are looking in Gulf Breeze, try to stay in or close to the city limits, the "Gulf Breeze area" stretches about 20 miles to the east.)
Pace is a nice area. It is kind of an up and coming area, has reasonable prices, good schools if you have kids, and close to Pensacola. The biggest downside of Pace is that there are no booze of any kind in Central or North Santa Rosa County on Sundays.

Gulf Breeze is really nice. It's between Pensacola and Pensacola Beach. I lived there for three years and am definitely considering retiring there.

You sure are starting some threads huh? First you need to quit drinking, now you're moving to Pensacola. For some reason I don't believe any of it.

Great place IMO in the city.
Outside the City, is Gulf Breeze. Gulf Breeze is halfway between Pensacola and Pensacola Beach. It's perfect. That's where I live now. Minutes from Pensacola, minutes from Pensacola Beach.

East Hill is nice; also a lot of nice older neighborhoods in the Scenic Hwy area. A word to the wise since P'cola is a military town, and like all military towns with heavy traffic at times, people there can't drive for shite. One of the worst areas ever for bad drivers. This happens in most military towns since you end up with a hodge podge of driving styles from just about every where.

Is Tiger Point still decent? Parents of a friend lived in Sawgrass(?) in or around Tiger Point. It was a lovely home. Then it got destroyed by whatever hurricane leveled Pensacola 10-15 years ago and they moved to their condo on the beach side.

Sure, it's a very nice area.

Stay in Florida. No income tax, no sales taxes on food.
