It so happened that he was a shite pledge who got targeted in hazing rituals.

Naquin is not a bad kid. I feel for both families.

From the articles I'v read, Naquin was the only member who didn't want Gruver in the fraternity. I've also gleaned from those same articles that Naquin was a bad kid to the point of being a sadistic douche.

However, I have my doubts about this verdict, but was not on the jury; I'll leave it at that.

So you’re telling me I have to suck my bosses dick if he tells me?

Um no.

I am saying that if your local orgy club wants you to suck dick for you to to join then yes you do.

If your boss tells you to do that then you wont have to worry about your retirement plans, and you have a legit lawsuit as thats blatantly illegal.

Good, another thug POS off the streets. If he didn't want an unfair sentence he shouldn't have partied.

Exactly. Many of us have been unintentionally and uncomfortably drunk in college, but most college kids don’t just chug liquor like water at parties.

Even when I was a reckless college kid I never encouraged anyone who was already drunk to become more intoxicated. That is not a normal thing that kids do.

His peers, his frat brothers, asked him to back off in his hazing of pledges, the deceased in particular. And he either blew them off or ignored them. And this was days before this happened, giving him time to re-think his attitude and he still continued. He was warned and basically told everyone to frick off. This is very telling to me. and apparently to the jury.

Dumb as hell. Gruver alone was responsible for his own death.

Not any of the other individuals involved, not the frat, and not the Greek system as a whole.

This coming from a GDI.

Why exactly do you disagree with the jury? You have less information than they did.

We have the only relevant information: Gruver willingly chugged grain alcohol in order to be accepted by a group of morons.

No, which is why it's negligent homicide and not murder.

look for the brands Are they not considered part of the Greek system

They are at LSU. A fraternity that’s as recently removed had many members with brands.
I had a few KSig friends with a gamma branded on their arse as well

I partied my balls off in college and never once came close to killing anyone. This kid deserves the book thrown at him for being an idiot.

Disagree; based on that story I would have absolutely acquitted.

not the idea that 18 year old men should be standing up for themselves and taking their lives into their own hands.

It’s always interesting to me how we move the line of adulthood. If a college athlete gets in trouble, whether it be drugs, domestic violence, DUI, it’s usually framed as “he’s just a kid that made a stupid mistake.” However, in this case, an 18 year old that clearly has a substance abuse problem who was put in a terrible situation by people he was supposed to listen to and respect, and he’s called a grown arse man who should have known better.
