This is great.

The closest grocery store to campus now is the Neighborhood Walmart on Highland and Lee.

Good move

Where is this exactly? The pictures almost make it look like it’s inthe field in front of the Natatorium. Coming from the interstate to campus, which side of Nicholson?

It's directly across Nicholson from Tiger Stadium on the ground floor of one of those big apartment buildings.

The dining halls look nice, but the food tastes like crap. It's not like the good 'ol days at Highland Hall.

However, when I was in undergrad, one of my biggest complaints about the campus area was the lack of a grocery store. The Winn-Dixie was always inconsistent and the Bet-R had some serious issues with food spoiling right after buying it (especially deli meat).

They definitely have options now. Trader Joe's, Wal Mart Neighborhood Market, Winn Dixie, downtown Matherne's and a new Rouses are all near campus. Now a new Matherne's on campus.

They are very clearly trying to make it to where students rarely have to leave campus.

I think it in the 6 story building about where the left field bleechers were, oriented towards Nicholson/N Stadium intersection. There is also a new parking deck behind it and a retail building with restaurants next to it.

The LSU Foundation building is at the old right field.

When I was at LSU there was a grocery store on State Street. Super Fresh maybe? It wasn't anything special but you could walk to it which was nice.

The Delchamps (where the Neighborhood Wal-Mart is on Highland) was my go-to back in the student days. And the Super Wal-Mart at Perkins/Acadian (current Trader Joe's site) for 24-hour non-grocery items.
