Good for the bull. I don't really care one way or another on bull fighting, but I like to root for the underdog.

The matador had previously taken a break from bullfighting after he was gored in the arm and chest during an incident in Valencia. The time period between the two fights was not immediately clear.

I've been to bullfights in Spain... it's fricking awesome. You get to drink beer and watch a bull try to frick people up. It's a damn good show (especially if somebody gets tossed).

At the end they bring in some horses to drag the bull out. I was told they use the meat to feed poor people... so it's not a waste.

I hope to see one, either in Spain or Mexico, someday. I am obviously in the minority on this thread, but I don't see any reason to end such an interesting and elaborate tradition.

Some of you are awfully quick to dispatch with things.

So the end justifies the means. I didn't know they fed the poor afterwards, I'm good with that.

I've been to one in Madrid also. Although I agree it was fun and cool to see such a tradition, there's no doubt it's awfully brutal for the bulls.

Really it's not even a fair fight. They wear the bull down before the real matador even comes out. Then the shitty ones take 4-5 attempts to kill it. One matador got booed out the stadium b/c he hit the bull at least 10 times and couldn't kill it.

The crowd also booed when that same bull was put down with a knife to the skull. No winner there.
