Probably someone frustrated at the lack of information who believes the FBI is hiding the motive.
As in, everyone not working for a law enforcement agency could probably be a suspect.

That’s the first I’ve ever heard of a gas mask, or ‘shells’ by the tank- which would also imply that he was shooting at the tank while standing next to it
What kind of missles was he shooting out of his assault clips at the tank?

I don't know where he got the gas mask thing from.
But yesterday Lombardo said Paddock had "self protection devices" in the room.
It was also reported yesterday that Paddock fired incendiary rounds at the fuel tanks.

So, he has this equipment in his room. He has special bullets that can try and pierce through the tanks. There is shells in the tanks. A local news agency finds shells by the tanks. Then, the police release the info, only after they are caught with their pants down. Then, they tell us he has the piercing bullets in the room and in the rifle.... Old news.

Nothing there says anything about a gas mask, or special tank piercing bullets, etc. It was reported early on that they found a couple bullet holes in the tanks, that's nothing new.

It doesn't take a "special" bullet to pierce a tank.
The cheapest of cheap Wolf ammo will go straight through a steel plate unless its hardened. It will laugh at your soft steel.

These tanks are double walled, and they were roughly 1,000 yards away. A 223 isn't going to penetrate both walls from that distance.
Hence why the reportedly found bullets between both walls.

My point is just to note the police knew all of this pretty much right away and withheld the info. And, it wasn't a gas mask, it was a protective oxygen mask as part of the protective gear they found.
