Well, I don't know how you define "plenty". But I do know that they are currently on a sharp rise. And since 2011, they have tripled. That's not just "more".
To me, that's scary. And to simply ignore it, and think it's no real issue since it was happening 40 years ago, ignores the problem and possible solution. It's on a sharp rise. There's a reason. And it's not just because of the internet and cable news.
