This image doesn't make any sense.

To be accurate, "Jose" and "Maria" would need to be in Mexico looking for a place to stay, not in America looking for a room.

In the Bible, Mary and Joseph were traveling because of a mandatory census. People were required to return to their homeland in order to be counted.

I took it as they are traveling from America, back to their homeland of Mexico, and nobody will let them stay the night on their travels back........You know, exactly like the Mary and Joseph story

Bethlehem was their destination. They just couldn't find a place to stay the night. Again, this would be Mexico in the scenario of the image.
