"There's always been this talk that, 'Oh, we want to put Owen in the Hall of Fame,'" Hart said. "Their Hall of Fame? They don't even have a Hallway of Fame. It doesn't exist. There's nothing. It's a fake entity. There's nothing real or tangible. It's just an event they have to make money. They put it on TV and have a celebration, and it's just so ridiculous. I would never even entertain it. It's garbage."

“I’d never want him recognized by a company responsible for his death and that has been so disrespectful to his family. No, never.”

The special two-hour season finale, "The Final Days of Owen Hart," will premiere on Tuesday at 10 p.m. ET on VICE. Owen Hart died on May 23, 1999.

This has been a no brainer for years.

She’s refused to let them do more than the bare minimum involving Owen’s image and has sued when they publish stuff that isn’t the normal PPV matches.

Mark Henry and others have been lobbying to get Owen recognized but she is sticking to her guns.

Yeah let's erase his memory.

I know shes bitter, but she needs to recognize he had fans and a body of work in something he loved doing.

They could have the presenter bungee from the ceiling.

I’d pay to see Vince Russo do that and leave a little too much slack in the line.

His dumb arse is the one who set up the whole thing.

Even Bret made up with Vince. Martha is the black sheep of the Hart family. The rest of them have moved on.

If Owen were an experienced stuntman who worked with that kind of equipment normally it still would have been dicey to have the quick release operate as it did. And even if successful I do not think the payoff would be worth the risk.

The payoff was that he was supposed to be suspended about two feet over the ring and get quick released as a joke pretending they had a malfunction.

Even worse? The original plan was for him to be holding midget wrestler Max Mini while doing it just for the lulz.

Would love to see Russo and McMahon locked in a cage with the wrestlers they fricked over. I would pay to see Russo and Bradshaw in a bare knuckle fight. I fricking hate Vince Russo.

Yep. It was a joke match to begin with. No one came to see that.

He died for nothing.

And as silly and meaningless as it was, they still could have lowered him without the quick release and had a tech run in with a referee uniform to release him and make it look better.

For anyone criticizing his wife.

WWF/E sued her for breach of contract after Owen died. They said that contractually wrestlers are only supposed to file suit in Connecticut, she filed a wrongful death suit in Missouri. Therefore they sued he for breach.

She also isn’t trying to erase his memory as she has allowed other promotions to honor him and set up a foundation in his name

Well to say Russo is the "one" who set the whole thing up might be a stretch. If McMahon, Prichard, Brisco, Patterson, Johnny Ace, JR, etc would have wanted to shut that down they could have.

At the time everything Russo was touching was turning to gold for WWE.

I won't criticize her for any decision that she makes...BUT I will say to me many of her decisions have been strange business decisions...she probably could have had Owen's kids set for life (though they probably already are from Bret and Davey).

Ace couldn’t have shut that down. At that moment, he was either in WCW or All Japan depending on the timing.

For her they aren’t “business decisions”.
