This I don't understand. I can't imagine getting in the hole for a party.
Well I wanted my wife to have the wedding that she wanted. Her folks chipped in as much as they could, but it all adds up quick.

Did you go into a lot of debt for it though? If so maybe she should have spent less time on Pinterest and more time looking at y'all's finances to plan a wedding more appropriate for your incomes.

Small - about 40 people (Immediate family), spent the extra $$ on a honeymoon - had a big party after the honey moon for friends and other family that didn't make it.

Including my wife and I, the judge, and the musicians there was 13 people. My wife and I both say we wouldn't have changed it for anything.

The fiance' (No pics) and I can't decide between a 300+ attendee wedding here at home or a small get-a-way wedding with 20-30 people. What did you do?

You really don't have a say in this. She may say she wants your input. What she means is she wants you to agree with whatever she says. It's her day, not yours. You are just a participant.

I think there was just six of us. The preacher, his wife and two of our friends as witnesses.
And, that was 40 years ago next week!

Did you get hassled by all the street hustlers trying to sell you better packages? We did and got a good laugh out of it.

Actually, we had the whole thing booked (wedding wise) on the internet before we even got there. The whole thing was smooth going, the Wedding girl at the Tropicana had everything set up including an appointment at the courthouse, and all of our paperwork already submitted. Did not even have to wait in line at the courthouse just pick up the license.

It is her day. It's not about her thinking that way. Are you married?

yea, and it was our day. Not really that crazy of a concept. Day was about us getting married not her. She'd be the first to tell you that too.
