Later in the video one officer said that he wasn't sure if it was a taser or a gun. In either case though, I think they're trained to open fire at that point.

I don't know what's complicated about this.
He's a schizo. Do you have any schizos in your family? Because I have 3 of them.
Two of them take their medicine, the one that doesn't absolutely has no idea what the frick she's doing half the time she's conscious. They hallucinate and have no grasp on reality.
Obviously the cops need to do what they have to to protect themselves and it wasn't a bad shoot. But I wasn't denigrating the officers. I just made commentary that it's a sad situation when a crazy person gets killed because people don't recognize that they're crazy and that there must be something that can be done to better identify these people.
Law enforcement departments all over the country have been instituting policies, training and programs the last 10 years to address this.
For this I get a bunch of downvotes and people jump in my arse about it.
