How does a grown man not have any actual after-work engagements or responsibilities for 5.5 years?

It looked pretty obvious he had no kids. No kids and a GF who doesn't care definitely allows time for an hour at the park.

Same reason why guys get fat when they have GFs/wives/family. They don't make time for the hour at the gym anymore.

People are in to different shite. Some people drink craft beers everyday. Some people enjoy scotch. Others enjoy cigars. Then there's golf. I have friends that spend thousands per month on rounds, equipment, clothes, traveling, etc. We all have our thing.

Hey, some people work out for an hour daily. Some go to Disney World for an hour daily.

I did some math, and the longest pass you can get at Disney is a 10 day pass for $468.60. If he did that every 10 days for 2,000 days, he would have spent nearly $100k at Disney World over the past 5 and a half years, or about $20k per year.

Your math is wrong because he is at DisleyLAND (thread title is wrong)

LAND PRICES

He quoted the correct price. $1,049 for the year.

Fair enough, I see your point. That said, a craft beer or cigar is a little different than a visit to Disney Land (even with an annual pass) in terms of cost and time...... Golf is closer, but are they hitting the golf course every day for over 5 years?

Can't hate on him for that, he enjoys it and is helping him to drop weight.

Disneyland's annual pass to go every day is $1,000 so he spent $5k in 5 years. That's not crazy at all.

My family is part of the DVC and I gotta go 5 days a year which is a hassle. I mean, it's prob first world problem of the century but I could not imagine going 10 days in a row, let alone 2000.

Since he's going 365 days a year, he's paying less than $3 a day to get in.

Good for him. I've sat in traffic on I-10 just about every day for the last 15 years. Would've rather went to Disneyland for sure.

If he went 365 days with the $1,000 annual pass he paid $3 a day. Tack on meals and shite and it's really no different than getting $15 lunches everyday and getting dinner every night. It's sounds crazy to do but it really isn't that expensive when you look at the numbers.

And if he drives there at 100 mph he's paying next to nothing in gas.

So your family pays to go to Disney every year. You don't "gotta go" anywhere.
