1. This Malls policy or the mall cops/managements interpretation of the policy is bad for business.
2. The mall cop handled this situation perfectly and had a great attitude about it. Much better than most real cops Ive dealt with. He was patient, calm, concise in his explanation of the policy, provided the policy in written form, gave the customer many chances to leave the property, even showed him his own cross in an attempt to show solidarity so that the customer didnt think he was merely an enemy of his motives...right up until about 2:08. Then he goes off the rails and engages in a debate with the customer about his message and hurls accusations at him and makes assumptions about his character.
3. The SEAL was flat out wrong. This is America, jack. Your right to free speech, assembly, religion, etc. only applies in the public space. Private property trumps all. People now often confuse "open to the public" with "owned by the public". Public property is public and private is private. You can have private property in which you welcome any member of the public into it to do business with you but because YOU(an investment group, partnership, etc) own the property its private and you can revoke that privilege at any time for any reason.

Sounds like the military needs to include basic civics in their training

I think that mall cop is just a miserable fatass who wanted to use his "power" to try and bully someone.

Any confirmation that the guy was actually a SEAL? Or should we turn this in to Don Shipley?

no one in the history of the world has ever looked more like a mall cop than that mall cop. He can never have any other job.

Navy SEAL is an idiot that doesn't understand the constitution that he claims he fights to protect.

The SEAL's name is Chad Williams. His story is incredible and he is a great dude. Google Scott Helvenston, he was Chad Williams trainer before Chad went to be a SEAL. You will never stop this guy from sharing Jesus. The security guy flashing a cross mis spoke, mis quoted, and didn't know what he was talking about.

The improper use of a reflexive pronoun in the video tells me enough.

Is anyone else amazed the mall cop still wears his size 30 pants....?

I think there should at least be a monkey bar test before becoming a mall cop. If you disagree, please keep in mind that I am a Navy seal.

Of course that military magazine wants to make the story all about the military. The Navy seal was a douche and expects special treatment. What's new?

Until the person doing this passing out of flyers or "preaching" something you do not agree with.
How would you like a bunch of Muslims or Gary Chambers in your face while you were trying to enjoy a day in the mall?

Whatever problems you have with God, it ain't His fault or mine. Kicking a man out of a mall won't stop him from sharing his passion. When you have been rescued from death, you really can't be stopped from sharing how it happened. I have nothing but respect for you man.

This shite happened about a year ago. I remember the thread. Not sure why it was posted on that site as something recent.
