Pretty sure St Tammany doesn’t care. Water in Covington increased. They are building like crazy and won’t put up lights so it dangerous in some places. Jefferson Parish is a scam water bill now, too. They put what they want and make it impossible to fight it.

It’s $20 in electricity just for me to run my individual sewage treatment, can’t imagine what one of those big treatment Facilities cost.

It's not so much the operating costs. It's the upgrades they have to perform in order to bring these treatment facilities up to spec. Since no one else is willing, these larger water companies can basically name their price and the PSC has no choice.

I know people in Slidell and south of Houma have been complaining about them

Why weren’t these facilities up to spec prior to the sale and whose job is it to make sure they’re up to spec?

Basically, the original neighborhood developers are required to provide a water treatment facility for each neighborhood.
A few years after the neighborhood is fully occupied, the original builders stop maintaining and let the water treatment equipment go to crap.
The state is practically begging these larger companies to take over the smaller waste facilities.
