Morning, folks.

Fired up the big green egg and put a pork butt on around 2:30am. Was up and down all night through 5:30 trying to get the temp to settle, but it's holding strong now.

I believe that is one of the best things you can ever smell at 2:30 in the morning. Lucky.

I'm going to fire mine up later.

Sweet Corn from the garden.

Bacon wrapped banana peppers from the garden.

On the stove, green beans from the garden cooked in all my saved up bacon grease.

Salsa from the garden.

And crab claws from albertsons.

Dunc do you use fresh herbs on your meat? I made the switch weeks ago and will never look back.

Yes! That's what I do with the banana peppers since I'm not too fond of heat.

I've been eating the corn raw. While Standing in the garden

It's not a food board fave, but I love to grill the Conecuh brand sausage that's made in bama.

Aubrey likes fall off the bone ribs. Are your oven ribs like that?

ha very nice, for jalapenos just make sure there are no seeds, and remove the left over connective tissue from the pod, this is where that leftover capsaicin is located. Scrape the inner skin with a spoon and rinse under water as well.

I have used fresh herbs when doing chicken. It really is fantastic. For red meat, I really just use rubs.

My boss at work had convinced me to try this with a hole onion. He only cuts the ends off and wraps the whole onion in foil. Grills it for an hour then squeezes fresh lime juice on when done. Sounds like it would be greats with fajitas.

I did a pork butt a few weeks ago while camping (no egg/weber q) with a rosemary/Tonys rub and tons of garlic shoved inside. Also onions on the top . It was ah-MAZING. Folks were drinking the juice from the pan, spooning it over potatoes the meat was fall apart and the flavor was throughout.
