He said he must have dropped his 2 dollars somewhere and turned to put the beer in the cooler. I figured if his life had got to the point where he was out on the streets in this cold and drunk on Steel Reserve at 1130am then buying him a cheap beer was the least I could do.

At least he was a humble drunk. Instead of deciding to go beg for money he put it back in the refrigerator. Good things come to those who are humble.
