I can't get close enough to it to use a shotgun. By the time I get set up at the right angle to use a rifle it sees me and flies away. Can't randomly shoot a rifle in any direction - there are a few houses on the other side of the woods.

yeah, there's a total of 5 of them. Parents and 3 that are nearly grown. They come into my yard and forage around for insects. One of the young ones stays near the adults and runs up and opens its mouth when the parents catch a bug or a worm. He's evidently a slow learner.

They're really not much of problem other than they act like roosters. About 5 minutes before daybreak all of them start squawking and cawing really loud. No problem during the work week but no bueno on weekends.

I saw a guy on an airplane flight one day who was evidently getting his first exposure to Alka Seltzer. Middle Eastern looking dude. Flight attendant brought him some AS and he popped them into his mouth like aspirin and tried to wash them down with water. He was foaming at the mouth like a rabid dog.
