black coffee and prolepsis for lunch
fave vacation was a road trip with my parents/brother from LA to IL when I was like 5 or 6. we went through a cool arse drive through zoo, saw a castle/house that a father built for his deaf daughter near railroad tracks, and stopped at a scenic riverside to wade in the water and then have a picnic. nothing extravagant, just quality time and realizing how lucky I was to have my parents.

My parents did a lot of things wrong but toting us on roadtrip vacations every year was not one of them

I have a lot of memories as a child of being dropped off with the MS family. Watching MASH and fishing. Babysitting my cousins wayyyy too much.
