My great grandfather was smuggled out of Trieste through Austria by the Catholic Church during WWI and was sent to live with a sponsoring Catholic family in NOLA when he was 16. He spoke 7 languages and went to work for the US military as a translator when he was 17. He called it gravy & I call it gravy.

probably bc they were either slaves, owned slaves or had some soul blood in them

Lot's of Southern Italians have a little soul in them.....that why some are more dark complexioned and have bigger lips than the the Northern Italians

I actually think this is true for my family. I remember my mother doing that dna test and she found that we had some northern African in us. Explains the DSLs
