Take proper care of yourself peej. That’s what you can do right now. I know you have mentioned health issues. Make sure you are getting enough rest/food/sleep/meds, etc.
Please take care of your health. We all care about you here peej and we want to help in whatever ways we can just know that.
I can relate….my family lost their home to a fire as well 8 years before the flood destroyed their trailer. Losing so much so close together is painful. It is what broke my dad sadly. Please don’t let it break you. Hugs to you my TD friend.

I’m not sure what I need. My problem is a place for us to live… that can take awhile…. Like I said I’m lost right now looking for answers. My wife is staying at her sons house cause she needs oxygen. But I’m staying with my pets at my daughters house.

Focus on what you need….for today then. You are still in shock and just cannot fully process and think clearly….and that’s ok. Just keep trying to get basic needs met for today…..and repeat tomorrow until you are in a more clear headspace.

The strong survive peeJ. And you’re as strong as they come.

Peej do you need someone to start a GFM for you? We might at least get you into a rental when power comes back on.

Saw this on FB PJ
Call 1-800-621-3362 for Temporary Lodging Assistance if you live in an affected area.
You can call 211 for assistance as well.

That would be horrifying given that you may be asleep, groggy and/or wake up to that...
3 trees fell on my house on the opposite end from my bedroom. I slept through the whole thing.

but its fresh crisis understand you don't have to make all the decision right now, allow yourself a little grace, its OK to mourn the loss

We still have no power. Went home to empty the fridge and freezer out. It’s annoying but we are grateful for only have that as our biggest issue
Peej I hope everything works out for you. I have never been in your situation but I have been through some tough things and the best you can do is take the help people offer.

It’s hard not to cry……
but once the initial shock passes, it does get easier to process.
i promise.

Calm down and relax. Clear your head and get some rest.
It will come to you and you will be able to sort it all out with a clear head.
Life comes at you fast, you just have to slow it down. You got this PeeJ.

I changed it. I realized what that sounded like after I saw it.

If someone does that or a Venmo I will gladly donate.
If chicken won’t let it be posted on here we can backchannel spread the hell out of it around to everyone.
