Have you ever tried the store bought?

I wonder if it’s as good

I should have thought ahead and stocked up on some to bring home. I bet I can find a good online recipe for a sweet red sauce though.

My mom/grandmother never had a recipe. They just threw stuff in a pot and let it cook. I asked my mom for a recipe and she looked at me like I was stupid lol

I have to share my spaghetti and meatballs recipe because it’s the best

It only calls for 4T sugar but you could add more to taste

Live bait is hard to come by down there from what I hear. There’s a few guys but all the bait shops and Marinas are closed.

My grandma is the same. She’s explained how to make her dressing, pot roast, and chicken and dumpling recipe

They don’t turn out like hers

Use beef broth instead of water.

You’re welcome

Most grandmas cooked 3 meals a day - 7 days a week. My great grandmother cooked for my great grandfather and their 9 sons on a wood burning stove. No substitute for experience.

We went to happy jack last weekend, day 1 we slayed the trout on live shrimp and gulps. Day 2, the water wasn’t moving and the wind was blowing it’s arse off and all we caught were hard heads and trash fish. Live shrimp are very hard to come by right now. The people we normally get bait from said they pushed for 8 hours and only ended up with 1500 shrimp. May season can’t come fast enough.

this is how I cook. Back in the day you could not go to the grocery every day. You used what you had and your skills made it good. Like chopped home edition every day.
