For the whole self reliance thing when he goes to college, because I'll be damned if he is gonna be like half my floormates that I had to show how to do their own laundry. Bonus if he gets a co-ed dorm he can assist as needed for his 'rizz' though I am sure it will have a different name by then.

Mines been doing his own since his sophomore year. He doesn’t fold it though. Pretty sure he just lives out of a laundry basket on the floor of his room. He also thinks it’s funny to steal my workout tanks from the laundry room folding table and wear them. Today he went to the gym wearing one that said, “Does running out of win count as cardio?”
