He twists them off playing in the pasture. The fact that it is so dry doesn’t help. He never really had those bad thoroughbred feet until it stopped raining.
I’m hoping my trainer can find one. There are 2 I know of that I won’t let touch my horse.

Good for you, a person who messes up a hoof is a danger. I am also not fond of the ones using the rasp on their belly. If I am holding I need to do my job, and if the ferrier is upset that is never a good thing to calm a horse.
