We had to get an SUV though. My truck wouldn't be a good family ride and I have a little compact car I use for commuting to work.
I caught her car on fire last year so I paid her downpayment on her telluride and she's going to handle it from there

after our move to texas we had a lot of things for goodwill that i'd drop off a few times a week. one day i pulled up behind an older gent. he pulled two sets of golf clubs out of his trunk to drop off.
i said hello to him and asked if he got a new set of clubs. he was vv nice, and replied that one of the set of clubs was his wife's, and she had recently passed away, and he no longer had any desire to play.

If you have done a lot of cool things and accomplished a good amount, the death thing is not pondered so much, as by those that fear time running out with their life being gauged as less than it could have been.
I guess living in a van down by the river is still better than under an overpass.
