He's quit for like 7 years, then started again, and quit right before the New Year.
Did you go cold turkey? His first attempt was CT.

cold turkey...but i was weak and would sneak a cig from time to time and chew the nicorette gum cuz i wasn't really into quitting and still wanted to fire one up...when i finally decided to quit for good, it wasn't terribly hard to do. easier than i thought it would be. you just gotta want to.
