two stents, that didn't work, transferred to new orleans for more aggressive surgery, valve replacement, organs started to fail.

A friend of mine died at age 50 following a routine heart procedure. He contracted a staff infection while in the hospital and didn’t survive it.

He was actually discharged from the hospital and was at home for a day or so before having to be re-admitted.

Prayers to your friend's family. I would think that must be soul crushing to them. I wonder sometimes if it's better to know a year ahead of time and prepare, or for it to happen suddenly.

had a really good friend die in bed, after a day at the gym and 18 holes of golf, had a healthy lifestyle, just had a heart attack, he enjoyed every minute of his life, was the president of an oil company, doubt he had much of a bucket list because he did anything and everything he wanted to do, thought that was as good of a way to go as any
