I know that being interviewed or interviewing someone , with no prep, and just off the cuff has to be harder than one would think. They did a good job of not letting there be any dead air.
Hell I think PeeJ could have gone another 2.5 hrs.
And I know SFP just wanted to get it online because everyone was asking for it. So, all things considered it wasn't bad, at all.
But the interviews you see on TV or hear on the radio are typically edited, or at least a list of questions are provided to the person being interviewed so that they have time to prep. Which is what makes it go smoothly.
So with a little prep time and editing I think SFP could really do some interesting interviews.
I may go back and listen to the second hour later because I didn't hear the ice cream story or some of the other stuff.
Though, as I said, I think they did a good job, all things considered.
PJ was the perfect person to have for the initial interview. I don't think there's another poster on here that people would listen to for an hour, much less 2.5.

Well, just to give you props, this is literally the first and only podcast I've ever listened to...in my life. I'm really old school and have heard the word used but never looked into what it was.

Yeah I went back and listened to the last 22 mins to hear the wrap up.
I will check the second hour out later. Hell it was nearly 20 mins in before PJ realized he was being taped. Haha
Seriously though, I thought it was good to be a sour of the moment, no prep or editing interview.
People want to compare it to 6O Minutes or Sunday Night Conversation but don't think about all the work that goes into making those go smoothly.
Even live interviews like Finebaum or Dan Patrick have in air typically have an outline and a list of stuff that's going to be discussed beforehand.
