This is a great time of year for the Smokies. Everyone likes to go in the fall and winter, I think Springtime is perfect though. I use to like to go up there about this time of year to ride the tail of thf dragon. Too dangerious for that now though because of all the traffic on it.

Some cabin with a hot tub on the back deck between Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg with no damn kids or relatives.
And lots of booze.

I have no issue with accepting pity or charity. I used up what little pride I had a long time ago...In the 40's, I think.

Thats the way to do it. I don’t think they make it anymore but I use to get this Daniel Boom Whiskey they distill there in Gatlinburg. It was pecan flavored and tasted damn good. I kept it chilled and drake it on the rocks. Damn that was some good whiskey.

I was. Collapsed at work last Thursday and had to be rushed to the hospital. Turns out that my Lasix medication was now too strong due to my improved heart and kidney function. It caused me to dethyrate and triggered what’s kmown as nurocardiogenic syncope. They have adjusted my meds though so it should not happen again.

I was trying to time it after Spring and Easter breaks. Hopefully it’s a little calmer. Gonna get in some hiking, fishing, horseback riding and touristy things

No. Although I was pretty out of it for a while. My heart never stopped but it did for a while stop beating and go into a sort of “flutter” as they described it.

I rely on Easter candy to fill the void of Christmas candy. its going to be a long spring.
