Hey Aspy. Had my interview today. Think it went well. They said they have several other people to interview though and I should hear something in a couple weeks.
So we shall see

For the same job you applied for before or is this a new position?

Aspy - would your mood improve if fin bought you that saddle like he promised?

Different position. I never heard anything for that other one. Just assumed I didn't get the job. I heard from other nurses that they were looking for someone with more adult nursing experience anyways.
I interviewed for an infection control nurse position today. Actually sounds like a more interesting job anyways. I really hope I get it.

Remind me again as there have been several people switching jobs lately... You have a current job, correct? Just changing things up?

Me too, the new one is insane. Depends on renovation, renting it to the current owners until the end of the year.

Yes, been working on the same floor for almost 10 years now. I'm just seriously burnt out from bedside nursing and need a change. Used to love my job, now I dread going into work each night. Management only cares about saving money and not patient safety. There are nights where I seriously question the quality of care I'm able to give my patients because they are purposely understaffing us so much to save a buck. Just not an environment I want to be part of anymore. Just sucks because these are people's children I'm caring for....you would think their safety should be the utmost concern for our administrators. I trust my coworkers and know they are all amazing nurses...but if I had a child...I would NOT take them to my hospital because I know how much they overload the nurses(and I used to always say I would bring any child there because they will get excellent care).
