Someone is casing you. She was just bait. They knew a woman would be more likely to get you to identify yourself. That’s because oftentimes the first thing a man does if it’s another man making that call is to ask “who wants to know?”. But if it’s a female, they usually say “yeah, this is so-in-so”.

All kidding aside. I’ve seen this sorta tactic used before. Someone is at the very least wanting to make sure of your whereabouts.

The timing is very concerning as well...I had just walked in from lunch about 5 minutes before the phone rang....like someone saw me walk inside....they didnt call on my cell phone....they called on my work number.
