I’ll say this though. It was my nurse who first noticed something was wrong. She said when she came on her shift that morning she noticed my color had changed. She talked to my wife (they kept me in the dark on this) that I looked “greay”. This was the Monday before thanksgiving and my regular doctor and surgeons were already off for the holiday. I was scheduled to go home the next day. She call them and other docotors in, ordered tests, and worked on me all day and into the evening to try and figure out what was going on. That morning I felt fine and had no idea anything was wrong. But by that afternoon I could hardly breath and could barely move. Even though her shift ended that afternoon she stayed on and worked on me right up until about 9 that night when I coded. And after they revived me and did the emergency surgery she was standing by my bed when I woke up around 1 or 2 AM. That nurse was an angel in my book.
