My pawpaw loved pickled okra. I think he started feeding it to us as soon as we could eat. Pretty sure all of us eat it. I don't seek it out but I will eat it on a relish tray. (Which you own and have posted pics of but I don't remember what you had on it )

Eta- cockroaches also ooze mayo when you squash them

Aren’t okra sort of hairy too? I think I remember picking one up and being surprised it was furry.
