pretty sure the squatting thing began because rappers could be seen in music videos squatting while playing dice on the side walk. so naturally the youth of america started emulating their role models actions

Clearly going to volunteer her time to make the ghetto a better place.

all this "do-gooder" bullshite is just for show. Want to make a difference? go volunteer on habitat for humanity or at a soup kitchen or sober living house.

nah man, she'll just write articles for a left leaning school paper that just reduced their printing schedule due to low readership.

keep fighting that good fight though.

If you’re white and you whine, complain and debate every time you hear a black person mention or defend “Black Lives Matter,” call out a racist or attempt to make a change in this country, you are absolutely part of the problem.

And even if you don’t say anything, you’re still contributing to the problem. You’re allowing racist ways of thinking to continue by doing nothing.

Silence is compliance.

So if I'm reading this right, she's stating that to debate/challenge their movement or remain silent is propelling institutionalized racism. That the only option to remain right is to agree with their opinion.

I mean that article itself is more proof that she did it. She's obsessed with race.

Because white people at least say thank you when you open the door for them. Black people look at you as if they expected you to open the door in repentance for their great-grandfather's enslavement by my great-grandfather over 100 years ago.

Being white not synonymous with being ignorant to social issues

That entire article was essentially an ultimatum. It's a "you're either with my opinion, or you're what's wrong with this country" article. The way she speaks in absolutes just shows how arrogant she is in her misguided opinions that have been formed by the nonsense spewed at her by activists who rely 100% on emotion and ignore cold, hard statistics.

quote:

Unlike some white people, who know they may never have to interact with a black person in their lifetime, and therefore refuse to understand the fight and outrage.

Wow. There's no way she believes even 25% of the bullshite she writes because that line sounds like it was written by someone who has never stepped foot into normal modern American society.

quote:

If you’re white and you whine, complain and debate every time you hear a black person mention or defend “Black Lives Matter,” call out a racist or attempt to make a change in this country, you are absolutely part of the problem.

This is right out of the left wing activism playbook - I have the moral authority and questioning it is a personal attack on the poor and downtrodden. Also 100% emotion.

quote:

It needs to be understood that racism isn’t just saying, “I hate black people.” There’s this thing called institutional racism that often goes overlooked. It’s a form of racism that supports the thoughts and actions that implement disparities among the races, both politically and socially.

She, like so many activists today, love blaming this mythical beast of "institutions" because it paints a picture that society itself has a gun pointed at their heads and stirs up incredible fear, paranoia, and animosity that can be capitalized on by leaders to give them carte blanche to create vindictive, not equal, laws or societal norms. The truth of the matter is that she can do nothing more than show broad-brushed or anecdotal evidence as to the existence of "institutional racism". It's a red herring.

I kinda feel sorry for this girl. It's really a shame that she can't see anything in the world through the lens of anything other than her blackness.

I think the fact that she didn't mention her "incident" at all is truly telling. If that incident was actually true it would have dominated the bulk of that article. My skepticism continues to grow.

So you've held the door open for every black person in the world. Good to know. They have some dumb people who post on this site I tell you.

At some point the kid gloves need to come off. The high road doesn't work with these sorts of people.

They are bullies and bullies only understand and respond to force and fear.

I have told this story before but it shows how young black children are being raised to think about white people as being bad.

I was a white teacher in the inner city of New Orleans. All of my student (and the entire school) were all black children. I loved my students and spent thousands of my own money making my class a fun place to be and even ensuring my kids had the uniforms they needed for school. So my students knew me to be a fair and loving teacher and I did not have many discipline problems. Their parents liked me as well so I had no problems there( I taught 1st grade)

One day at recess, a few of my students were visibly upset and came running to me saying that an older student was saying ugly things about me and calling a bad word. They did not even want to repeat the "bad word" (and these were children who had no problems saying words like b*tch, ho, MFer, etc).

I finally got one of them to whisper that bad word to me. The word was "white". My students were horrified that another kid called me white. To them "white " was bad and evil.

I explained to them that I was indeed white and it was ok and it was not a bad thing. But my students decided that I was not white and considered me in a category all my own and said I was not white, I was "pink" and that pink people were very nice.

TL;DR young black inner city children are being raised to think of white people as bad or evil and that being white is a bad thing.
