Do you still major in whatever you want but you take harder classes in that curriculum?

How much better is an honors degree, or do you get a regular degree with an honors award?

You're still graduating from LSU at the end, so I don't see the point.

No, they'll give you an aptitude test and assign you a major in accordance with what fits you best.

It's pointless besides the fact you get to graduate with the honors chord.

Just a waste of time really unless you want to only have classes with people on your level intellectually

So is it a few classes that you take while getting a regular degree. Or, does the honors college have its own degree programs?

take 20 hrs of honors classes, and you can get sophomore honors distinction, and extra tassel to wear at graduation....

You end up being better prepared for life because you will learn a lot more stuff through the Honors College.

Same degrees, you just take some honors classes.

as in.. a Biology Major in Honors college is a still a Biology Major, he just took some honors biology classes and chem classes (exact same classes as normal ones but with diff teachers, diff syllabus, and diff students)

I think you also have to write a dissertation before you graduate
