I had the joy of going to the Harvey Walmart yesterday and noticed the strategically placed cameras around the baby formula and cosmetics.

The local Lowes had a big trailer in the parking lot, in a prime space near the door, with a tall pole full of cameras and "Security" logos.
I figure it was really to deter the guys who grab expensive tools and walk out. They could mount little cameras on the building and light poles that would not take up prime parking. They obviously wanted people to see it when they entered the store.
