Proud of our state setting an example of how to step up and be an American. There are no liberals/conservatives today.

Now if we could only be like the rest of the United States when it comes to; our economy, schools, government efficiency, electing competent representatives, etc...

I'm going to tell the bank that I'm going to pay my mortgage from now on with "character" and see how long it takes them to repo my house.

Man I no doubt believe we have some good folks here in Louisiana but there's other states with good folks too....along with better schools, economy, roads, and government.

I didn't say we were the best, only that I was proud of what was going on. We're opening shelters for Texans, etc.

You guys are real pieces of work. How much are you doing to make these things better that are so terrible here?

The guy makes a post about the good that so many of our citizens are doing for Texas right now, and yall shite on him.

How many good folks have gone down to Texas from Oklahoma, Mississippi, New Mexico, Arkansas?

I agree, OP. Proud of the people of our state for what they are doing. I don't New Yorkers or Bamers over there making national news for what they are doing. Yeah, our state isn't perfect, but the people are as generous as they come.

Thanks for getting it. Our State is getting a lot of positive publicity. Cajun Navy, etc. I was just proud but this IS the OT.

Yet the news has found a few people in Houston who are upset that the POTUS made a trip to see the tragedy. Saying he just did it for a photo op. SMH. Can't they let it go for a day?

A bunch, probably?

I live in GA and the news and my twitter feed are nothing but promotions for people to come help load trucks bound for Houston.

That aside, I think citizens of Louisiana are best positioned to be of great help to Houston, and they're getting well deserved national attention for being the tip of the spear regarding relief in Texas.
