I'm in San Antonio and it's amazing how much cleaner it is here than back home. Drivers are surprisingly worse though. Lots of 50 mph left lane drivers and turn signals don't exist here.

Keep driving to Midland or drive around North Houston and you will see plenty of liter.

Coming through Nola East one time I saw 3 bags of fast food trash dumped out on I-10.

I drove I-10 through Houston and the litter wasn't too bad. It's noticeably worse everywhere in Louisiana (except Acadia Parish for some reason). Only part of Texas that seemed to have a litter problem was Beaumont.

Was in Lexington last week, felt like I was coming back home to a dump. It’s embarrassing really.

And to think that San Antonio is kind of the dump of Texas, yet is still that much cleaner than Louisiana trashy.

If the baws would clean out the beds of their pickup trucks instead of using it as a garbage can, LA highways would be much cleaner.

Not wrong. The family and I have taken multiple road trips in the last two years. Remarkably cleaner in other states. Seems like there’s always a trash bag exploded over most streets in Louisiana.

Almost started a post the other day on the enormous amount of trash on the side of our interstates and highways, and that's just in Baton Rouge! It's awful! I've never, ever seen as much trash as we have on the sides of the roads right now. I don't think we even have state workers that do it anymore.

Definitely part of the issue but baws with pickup trucks are everywhere. The state doesn't give a shite about cleaning our roads and it's fricking embarrassing.

Cant remember the last time I saw a gang cleaning

I know this - I live in the sticks next to a highway and I'm constantly having to clean my ditch from litter blowing out of the beds of trucks. Its sad that nobody cares about their community like this.

Grab a puffy taco while you’re there.

Mexican license plates have two hyphens. Watch out!

You’re not wrong, but the bigger problem is with the littering citizens in this state. It’s indicative of the lack of class that is so pervasive here. Many people living here simply don’t give a shite or take a sense of ownership. You can see it in their behavior as well their dress and grooming. They’re just trashy, classless, people.

To your point tho, the litter on I12 is ridiculous. There’s a recliner around Sherwood as well as shredded tires and car parts on just about every part of the emergency lanes/shoulders. Guess DOTD is too busy repairing the roads to tend to debris removal.

The farther you get from New Orleans the less litter you see.

You must be new to traveling outside of the state. This has been going on forever. I love it here, but I’m not sure if there’s another state that cares less about its appearance. We are overrun with lowlifes.
