Louisiana is behind on everything, always. Truck stops in LA/MS are atrocious pig styes compared to the rest of the country. I don't know what it is with people when they get to this part of the country but its like all knowledge of how to use a garbage can and a toilet is erased from memory.
Out of all my travels I can safely say my favorite chain for truck stops is Kwik Trip in the upper MS plains (IA, MN, WS). I really wish I could win a billion dollar powerball and expand them nationwide. Their stores are always clean and awesome. QuikTrip is expanding out from their Georgia home, but theres still not enough parking spots for me to give them my top spot - usually only 10-15 parking spots per location which is a bummer.
