LHSAA operates on a different set of rules than BESE. They are slow as molasses to change things, either.

The LHSAA does not mention anything about maintaining masks or distance. It even includes the statement about if the student made contact during class, 10 day quarantine is ok. It’s the LDH, which this school goes by, that is the more stringent. Again, so many guidelines that don’t match up and creates confusion and anger.

I called the school asking if they had documented proof of the student testing positive. I was told they cannot ask for proof, as the state says that is not allowed. They have to assume it’s legit. So they make everyone jump through hoops for shite when they don’t even know if it a valid positive. WTF!!

I’m sure they want to see it, but you don’t provide it, they can’t ask any questions and have to take the parent at their word.
